About the Artist

My desire to paint grew from my love of the Florida Coast and its wildlife, as well as an avid interest in gardening. If it flies over the Gulf, swims in Apalachicola Bay, or grows in my yard, it's often likely to inspire me to reach for my tubes of paint, a few brushes, and my trusty chipped Coke glass filled with water.
I started sketching several years ago and promised myself I would buy watercolor paints after completing a particularly tedious needlework project. The first time I watched the color flow and soak into the paper, I was hooked! My enthusiasm for it has only grown.
Painting decorative
furniture pieces began with chests to our first two granddaughters and nursery furniture for the third. I discovered that after the furniture was given away, I missed it! The answer seemed to be to paint more.
My
watercolor paintings provide me with the opportunity to create lasting impressions of natural Florida. My painted furniture adds charm and whimsy to ordinary pieces. I love to paint and I paint what I love. I hope my efforts bring enjoyment to you, too.
My studio and gallery are located at
676 Industrial Boulevard in Tallahassee's historic Railroad Square Art Park.
Linda and her husband Al have lived in Tallahassee, Florida, for 30+ years. They have two children, three grandchildren, and five cats.
